Distributors and Wholesale

Distributors & Merchants, Trade & Wholesale Customers

In our experience of working with distributors and wholesale specialists, the relationship goes beyond profitability. Of course, sales are critical to both parties, so too is the support around the sale, which minimises or eradicates errors that can result in disgruntled customers and reputational damage.

We believe that the successful supplier/distributor and wholesale relationship relies on the following:

  • Ease of sale & profitability
  • Range and quality of products
  • Innovation
  • Meeting technical standards
  • Packaging
  • Marketing support
  • Supporting materials
  • Customer service/account management
  • Long-term relationship

Ease of Sale and Range and Quality of Products

Watersavers specialises in the design and manufacture of flow rate and pressure monitoring water leak detection solutions, valves & PIR controls, legionella prevention solutions and urinal controls. Designers of the first, award winning, water-saving infrared urinal flushing control, we continue to develop products that reduce water consumption and unnecessary leaks. Founded in 1985 we’ve been specialising in these products for decades.

We design and manufacture in the UK which gives us control over our supply chain. We specify the best components and manage a short, local supply chain to be able to provide the best quality and value for money products and service.

Our manufacturing plant in Suffolk is within easy reach of the M11 and transport links for next day delivery where possible.

Many of our product are Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approved and qualify for BREEAM credits in new buildings or refurbishments. Our products are often specified and pretty much sell themselves.

Of course, our products are aimed at conservation of water and prevention of leaks and the costly damage that goes along with any catastrophic loss of water or water loss due to a slow leak. More than this, our products are renowned for their lasting qualities. We’re concerned with conserving raw materials and energy and advocate ‘repair rather than replace.’ When a product does reach its end of life, we encourage our customers and their end users to return product to us for its safe recycling.

Innovation

Watersavers is part of Daro Group and benefits from continuous improvement, strategic planning that includes product development and innovation and decades of long-established British design and engineering capability. We also benefit from the Group’s central resources of sales and marketing, financial management and leadership.

Meeting technical standards

WRAS

Many of our products are WRAS approved. WRAS has the role of assisting in the protection of public health by preventing contamination of public water supplies and advocates the efficient use of water by promoting and facilitating compliance with the Water Supply Regulations.

Therefore, WRAS approved products have undertaken a series of exhaustive independent tests to qualify that they are suitable to carry or receive water from the public mains water supply in the UK and that they comply with the Water Supply Regulations.

These regulations require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be ‘of an appropriate quality and standard.’

This is important because if a product is made from unsuitable materials, it can contaminate water by dissolving metals or encouraging growth of bacteria which can, at the least, cause an unpleasant taste or odour or, at worst, result in illness.

BREEAM

Launched in 1990 by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) sets standards for the environmental performance of buildings during the design, specification, construction and operation phases, applied to new developments, in-use or refurbishment schemes.

Watersavers products apply to Wat 02 and Wat 03 monitoring and management of water and water leak detection and prevention, which have a collective total of three credits available.

Wat 02 – BREEAM Aim – To ensure water consumption can be monitored and managed and therefore encourage reductions in water consumption. The products that fit into this category are valves & PIR controls and urinal controls.

Wat 03 – BREEAM Aim – To reduce the impact of water leaks that may otherwise go undetected. The products that fit into this category are of flow rate and pressure monitoring water leak detection systems.

Packaging

Getting products without damage is our top priority once we’ve processed your order.  We’ve been packaging goods of many different shapes, sizes, weights, materials and degrees of fragility for decades. Using the right size box and the appropriate amount of cushioning and the best seal will ensure your products are with you, or your customer, protected and good to go.

Where possible the materials we use are natural, such as cardboard which is reusable and can be recycled.
